SANYO DENKI (Tianjin) Co., Ltd held its annual distributor conference in Tianjin on August 23, 2023, with the participation of 18 distributors and partners.

The conference aimed to recognize distributors who have achieved outstanding results in partnership and business, as well as to share successful experiences and further strengthen partnerships. Among them, Flexible Automation System (China) distinguished itself and was honoured with the “Outstanding Progress Award” for its exceptional contributions in the market development of San Ace Fans for cooling system.

As a company with an excellent reputation in the field of industrial automation, Flexible Automation System (China) is renowned for its innovative solutions, technical prowess, and keen responsiveness to customer demands. The company has been actively involved in the development and innovation of automation equipment in the healthcare industry, providing crucial support in improving the efficiency and precision of healthcare facilities.

Mr. Jia Hongping, the Country Sales Manager and Head of the Beijing Office of Flexible Automation System (China), along with Mr. Sun Jianchao, the Head of the Dalian Office, represented the company at this event. i4.0 Mission Trip to India

Pumas Automation and Flexible Automation System India, is privileged to be part of the Singapore Delegation in the i4.0 Mission Trip to India. Mission objectives are to introduce our competencies and track record in i4.0 solutions, understand the pain points of Indian corporates, propose possible technologies/solutions and participate at the CII Smart Manufacturing Summit 2023 in Delhi.

On this mission trip, we get to visits 8 medium and large-size manufacturing enterprises in India, interacting with key personnel from these enterprises, from CEO, MD to Head of I4.0 or Chief Digital Officer. We also met more than 10 key members of the Confederation of Indian Industry and many other Indian enterprises at the summit.

During the meeting and interaction, we gain good insights into the maturity level of Indian manufacturers in I4.0 adoption. Some manufacturing enterprises in India started the adoption of I4.0 as early as 2017. But some enterprises are just starting to initiate the journey now.

We also attended the CII Smart Manufacturing Summit, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry addressing how manufacturing is traversing a new domain led by disruptive changes in technology and breakthrough innovations. It highlights crucial aspects such as sustainable manufacturing, skilling, AI integration and a resilient supply chain.

Many Indian local enterprises have grown to a good size now, ranging from USD 200 mil to 1 billion in annual sales. This is driven by growing middle income in India, with strong purchasing power.

Our apprehension about India’s business environment has changed after this mission, especially in the manufacturing sector. This will help guide us in our next lap of business expansion.

Flexindomas Celebrated its 32nd Anniversary in Bali

Flexindomas (FAS Indonesia) recently celebrated its 32nd anniversary with great enthusiasm and joy. To mark this momentous occasion, the company organized a memorable company trip to the beautiful island of Bali from 1 to 3 June 2023.

The anniversary celebration brought together all the staff from various branches of Flexindomas across Indonesia. President Mr.Oei Han Siang, Vice President Mr.Oei Han Tjing and their siblings also attended the event.

Since its establishment in 1991, Flexindomas has built itself as a prominent Industrial Automation player in the Indonesian market with a strong presence in the automotive and manufacturing industries. By forging strong alliances with Japan & global partners, the company has gained access to Pumas-FAS group’s advanced technologies and expertise, which enables them to deliver cutting-edge services. With a growing presence that now spans across 4 offices (i.e., Jakarta HQ, Cikarang, Bandung & Surabaya) in Indonesia, Flexindomas remains dedicated to expanding its operations and meeting the evolving needs of its valued customers.

Willing Hearts CSR 2022

On 8^th Oct 2022, the CEH Group participated in social work at the soup kitchen operated by “Willing Hearts”.

CEH Group’s vision is to help the world to go greener and actively helping the vulnerable and low-income community of Singapore.

As part of our corporate social responsibility program, 27 staff and family members of CEH Group volunteered to help out at “Willing Hearts” soup kitchen to realize their daily goal of providing 11,000 meals. Together with many other volunteers, we helped in cutting vegetables, marinating fish, cooking rice, packing the food boxes and finally delivering the meals.

We wish to thank all our CEH volunteers for their commitment and the staff of “Willing Hearts” for organizing such a great social welfare program!

Furthermore, we thank our subsidiary company NITTI Asia Pte Ltd for donating 27 pairs of safety shoes to the kitchen staff of “Willing Hearts” on that day. “

FAS Automex 2022

13th International Automation Technology Exhibition Automex 2022 which was held on 22nd June to 25th June 2022 at MITEC Kuala Lumpur is the Malaysian event for all automation professionals, a comprehensive showcase of automation technologies focused on specific industry and commercial applications. The exhibition covers all components ranging from complete systems to integrated automation solutions, as well as motion control technology and associated technologies. FAS was invited by MESM to setup a booth to introduce Energy Monitoring System with EcoWebServerIII and SCADA Solutions with ICONICS GENESIS64 SCADA System.

EcoWebServerIII is a simple, convenient & compact Energy Data Collecting Server for energy visualization and demand management. FAS has setup an Energy Monitoring System demo kit for Automex with EcoWebServerIII Controller, EcoMonitorPlus & Mitsubishi Digital Power Meter. Target value and specific consumption management features were showcased to potentials customers. By understanding specific energy consumption and target consumption, waste in energy and production processes can be clarified and it becomes easier to implement countermeasures rather than simply reducing energy usage. Main objectiv of the demo is to understand the important to use energy efficiently when, where and how much needed. Visualization of energy dashboard was performed with web browsers on-site using the built-in HTTP server function. The collected data is transmitted via Ethernet across the intranet so that anyone within the network can check and grasp the energy usage in real-time. Desktop PC and mobile web browsers were used on-site to showcase the functionality to access energy dashboard for multiple devices on-site.

GENESIS64 SCADA is an advanced HMI SCADA solution suite designed for Microsoft operating systems. It delivers unparalleled performance with OPC, BACnet, Modbus, and open standard database connectivity. FAS has created a demo with GENESIS64 SCADA on some key features that help to integrate real-time manufacturing data, energy and business information into a secure and unified web-enabled visualization dashboard. Production Performance & Energy related data was developed into the SCADA dashboard with GraphWorX which was then published to local IIS Server for Browser-based visualization. AlarmWorX feature was shown in the booth for real-time and historical alarms for abnormal conditions. Lastly, FAS has promoted GENESIS64 SCADA which can be hosted on Microsoft Azure platform by creating a virtual machine using ICONICS offering in Azure Marketplace. As the market trend evolves, ICONICS has launched support for cloud-native SCADA solutions.

Cognex Partner Techday 2022

As a strategic Cognex PSI (Partner System Integrator), Pumas/FAS were invited to Cognex Techday 2022 held at Le Meridian Phuket on 12th May 2022. Representing Pumas/FAS were engineers from Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines offices, attended this meeting with Cognex ASEAN/ANZ regional team to discuss the industrial technology demand, direction and support, specifically for South East Asia regions’ customers, in achieving their IIOT and Industry 4.0 needs. This meeting ended with Cognex launching their latest industrial vision system and ID reader in ASEAN/ANZ market; In-Sight 2800 and DataMan 280.

In-Sight 2800 puts the power of a full-featured vision system into an easy-to-use package that gets applications running in minutes. The combination of deep learning and traditional vision tools gives users the flexibility to solve a broad range of inspection applications – operators simply select the tool designed to deliver the highest possible accuracy for their task. Tools can be used individually for simple jobs or chained together for more complex logic sequences. The toolset also includes ViDi EL Classify. Using as few as five images, this powerful classifying tool can be trained to identify and sort defects into different categories and correctly identify parts with variation. The ability to classify by multiple features or characteristics allows users to solve more tasks with a single vision solution. The new In-Sight 2800 system also offers a wide variety of accessories and field-changeable components to help users adapt quickly to changes such as new parts, faster line speeds and higher quality standards.

The DataMan 280 features a high-resolution sensor combined with a dynamic image formation system to improve code handling and coverage. This technology, along with connectivity options for today’s Industry 4.0 manufacturing needs, allows users to read complex barcodes reliably while improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and throughput.
