Problem Statement

To maintain the old machines to stay on productive, the customer has to change the discontinued Mitsubishi-PLC Melsec A and old MRJ2S servo motor to new model. To prevent the machines down when some PLC modules is not function. Also the customer want to convert the mechanical push buttons and indicator lamps to HMI Panel.

Solution

We provided new model of Mitsubishi-PLC Melsec Q and servo motor MRJ4 to replace the old one, also provided the engineering support, wiring & installation, programming and machine commissioning. Moreover we also converted the mechanical push buttons and indicator lamps to Shihlin’s HMI.

Customer’s Feedback

After the machine was replaced to new Mitsubishi PLC and Servo system. It works well as before. The customer could find the spare part very easy and can prevent the unnecessary machine’s downtime.

Solution

With Mitsubishi Q Series and MES Interface module, together with Cognex Barcode Reader, it is updated with all machine status, order the recipe and quantity of their products real-time from SQL server to the machines etc.

Customer’s Feedback

Our MES system, can increase productivity around 22% due to reducing the time of production order from top management to each operating units, also can reduce waiting time to maintenance 4 times (120 minutes to 30 minutes).

The customer also get the production information in real-time.

A Japan renowned watch manufacturer opened its new plant to manufacture watches in Philippines. The facility started with manual monitoring of power usage/efficiency, water treatment status and compressor alarms. These have resulted in downtime both on tracing alarms and problems of the facility system. As well as having a more reliability of power usage, efficiency and distribution.
